Tickets demand of PML-N enhanced after victory in LB polls

Tickets demand of PML-N enhanced after victory in LB polls

MULTAN, Nov 1 (APP): After the outstanding results in first
phase of the Local Bodies elections, the tickets demand of PML-N
has increased.
The aspirants for the second and third phase of LB polls
have increased their contacts with the leadership for getting
party tickets.
The pressure on the Parliamentarians and other political
leaders have also increased for getting party tickets. While
the leaders of PML(N), PPP, PTI, JUI (F), Jamat-e-Islami and
other political parties have started to visit of their areas
concerned for electioneering of their nominated candidates.
Candidates from three groups of PML(N) including Rana
Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Arain and Tariq
Rasheed will participate in LG elections from Multan city.
The last date for submission of party tickets with Election
Commission of Pakistan for participating in third phase of
LG polls in Multan was November 6 while election symbols would
be allotted to candidates on November 7.
The party tickets would be issued to the willing candidates
on the recommendations of Parliamentarians.
Former provincial minister and PML (N) local leader Chaudhry
Abdul Waheed Arain told APP that his party clinched tremendous
victory in the first phase of LG elections. He however hoped
that PML(N) would also clean sweep in other two phases.
He said that ideological workers would not be neglected
during the issuance of party tickets.
